Spiritual Direction Formation Program
VMESC is offering a four-year formation program in spiritual direction. This formation experience includes a resident week at Villa Maria each June. During the remainder of the year, students are expected to participate in the following above and beyond the resident week:

readings and short reflection papers
spiritual direction
an annual directed retreat
a monthly theological reflection group

In addition, the participants guide others in spiritual direction, receive supervision and participate in a peer supervision group.

Resident Week Dates:

June 6 – 12, 2010: Tuition, program cost and resident week at Villa Maria: $1500.00

Spiritual Director Professional Days: June, 2010
Presenter: William Barry, SJ
Employing case studies that have tested their faith, participants will examine their own lived faith and its effect on their practice of spiritual direction.

We are offering many options for your participation this year. The program by Fr. William Barry will be offered on Monday and Tuesday, June 7-8. You can take advantage of those two days as a resident or as a commuter. Other options include staying for a week, or choose any number of days to add to your program to fit your retreat needs. See below for details.

OPTION 1: Sun. - Tue., June 6-8. This option includes mass & dinner on Sunday, the entire program by Fr. Barry, overnight accommodations (two nights), and all meals through lunch and afternoon snacks on Tuesday.

Cost: $160.00

OPTION 2: Mon. - Tue., June 7-8. Fr. Barry's program begins on Monday at 10:00 am and concludes on Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Overnight accommodations (one night) and meals/snacks are included.

Cost: $120.00

OPTION 3: Extend your professional days with personal retreat days (up to one week, June 8-15). Includes daily spiritual direction by VMESC staff, overnight accommodations and meals/snacks.

Cost: $75.00 per day

OPTION 4: Commute and participate in one or both of the Spiritual Director Professional Days, June 7, June 8, or June 7-8

Cost: $55.00 per day
