Children are a gift! We complement our family programming by offering special programs for children all year long. These programs are designed to benefit families directly or through the schools and community programs their children attend. Parents, teachers and other child caregivers are invited to contact us to learn more about opportunities at the Villa!

Our Mission: Villa Maria Education & Spirituality Center provides and promotes educational and spiritual experiences in a unique setting for people of all ages, faiths, and economic status.

Farm-Based Environmental Education (FBEE)

This unique Ohio and Pennsylvania curriculum-based program can be experienced on our farm as a field trip or in your classroom. Dozens of creative, hands-on lesson plans for grades pre-k through 10 will spruce up your science curriculum and connect your students to nature in a real and lasting way. Application Deadline for Target Fieldtrip Grants: November 3, 2009

Applicants will be notified in January of 2010 and grant money will be disbursed in February of 2010.

Summer Camps for Children

LEAP Camp

Leadership, Education, Arts and Play (LEAP) Camp is for children ages 9-12. This three-week camp (June 15-July 2) engages youngsters in a wide variety of games, activities, group projects and discussions that build strong character in kids who have the power to help shape their neighborhoods and communities. LEAP helps to unlock that power in fun and exciting ways. Bus transportation, lunch and snacks included. Scholarships available.

GROW Camp

Gardening, Responsibility, Once Weekly (GROW) Camp is a weekly camp that meets on Fridays for children entering grades 1-3. Children, many from urban settings, learn the value of the land through gardening, nature crafts, swimming, plant and animal care, hayrides and much more. Professional farmers and master gardeners bring unparalleled credibility to this program. Bus transportation, lunch and snacks included. Scholarships available.
